I have CYQ Certificates in Health and Safety,Professionalism in Exercise,nutrition and weight management,advanced fitness knowledge and Instructing,Personal Training and YMCA Level 2 Exercise To Music,and Exercise and Fitness.

What is Dance Fit Exactly?

If you are seeking to do some movement, get fitter, meet new friends, do some exercise that you actually enjoy this is for you.

You can enjoy the movement whatever your age.  I guarantee that you will enjoy the music which is a compilation of  good music – a mix of:  Pop, rock, balads, country, swing, jazz, cuban and more.

This is for all age groups and we particularly welcome those who are really wanting to get back to being fit.

What is Chair Based Exactly?

By Chair Based we mean exercises and movement that you can do sitting on a chair. This may be because you find standing difficult, you may be recovering from surgery or may be monitored by the doctor for a medical condition.  All the chair based exercises take place at The Warrens, Medical Centre.  You are advised to consult your doctor and notify them that you are attending the class.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that you can move and stretch in.

Do I need to book?

No need to book, you can just turn up.

What if I have a back problem?

Consult with your doctor first.

I’m recovering from Cancer

This is the perfect exercise if you are recovering – take the class at your own pace.

How many steps will I do?

That depends on the pace that you take. Bring your pedometer and test it out.

What else should I bring with me?

Bring a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated.

Will I make new friends?

These are very friendly classes and you will make new friends here.

Is it ladies only?

Men are very welcome to join us.

I’m not very mobile, is it suitable for me?

If you have limited mobility we run a chair based class twice a week.

Will I lose weight doing these classes?

Weight loss is a result of using more energy than calories consumed.  This exercise will contribute to wards energy used.
